A few words from the editor (or scroll down to see the full edition)
Well what a challenge. My wonderful co-editor and layout wizard has had to move on to other things and can no longer help me with the Gazette, so here I am relearning the software and battling with a computer breakdown.
We had to combine the Jun-Jul and Aug-Sep edition, as it was not possible to do the Jun-Jul edition. There are some extra articles online that we couldn’t quite fit into the print version.
I need help with the layout, the website and/or bookkeeping – or I am happy to step aside for someone to bring a fresh new look to the Gazette.
Please help me with finding someone to fill these roles – they are a very rewarding way to contribute to our community and to be a part of leaving a legacy of capturing our history as it happens.
In the meantime, I have been enjoying fitness classes at Numulgi Hall (see p 9) and running with the Dunoon Run Club – see the latest batch of recruits in the online edition. Thanks Woody for organising the runs!
Don’t forget to vote in our local council elections on September 14 – the list of candidates is available at elections.nsw.gov.au/elections/local-government-elections/2024-nsw-local-government-elections/candidates.
