North East Community Panel – Update

Council established seven Community Panels in rural communities within the Local Government Area which operated successfully until 2018 when Council discontinued funding for these groups. Dunoon Community Panel members thanks Council for their support during this time which saw some very successful projects, including, but not limited to the playground at the club, the Dunoon Village sign, Whian Whian art workshops and several other initiatives.

Each Community Panel implemented a Community Plan, developed by local residents, which included projects and events to improve community life.

Write Your Life Group – Update

This group used to meet every fortnight at the home of one of the members. The idea is to write or record a short story about an aspect of your life or memories, then share it with the other members of the group by reading it out. Due to life getting too busy for the coordinator, this group was discontinued. If anyone would like to re-start this group, please contact the editor.
