A Few Words from the Editor
Help Us Preserve Dunoon’s Story – and Be Part of It!
The Dunoon and District Gazette has been the voice of our community for decades – sharing our stories, achievements, and local history. We’re now working to make sure that this history is recorded and preserved for the future, and we’d love your help.
If you have any old editions of the Gazette tucked away in a cupboard or shed, please take a look! Our archive is missing some issues, and every rediscovered copy helps us complete the record of our shared past. If you find any, we’d love to borrow or photograph them for our collection. We are particularly looking for the Oct/Nov 2010 edition.
We’re also looking for a few new hands to join the Gazette team. Editing, layout, ads, accounts, and website updates are currently being juggled by just one or two people, so an extra set of hands (or two!) would make a world of difference. Whether you’re interested in accounts, layout, editing, proofreading, or distribution, we can provide some equipment, guidance, and a warm welcome.
It’s a wonderful way to get involved in your community – and help keep our local stories alive. Contact us at editor@dunoongazette.com.
